HOMEMADE DEEP CONDITIONER

Before i did my very last henna treatment, i knew i had completely run out of deep conditioner. My broke self and my self imposed frugal status prevented me from running out and buying a jar.

I then remembered something i read online a few years back when i started my natural hair journey "Whatever you put on your hair should also be good enough to eat". And so with this in mind i went on an excursion in the fridge. I didn't know what i was going to achieve but at the end of the day i got a very low budget deep conditioner. My hair is enjoying a smoothie. lol!. SOFTHAIR.BOMB.COM

Banana is rich in potassium, natural oils, carbohydrates and vitamins which help in softening the hair and protects the hair’s natural elasticity preventing split ends and breakage. Banana creates manageability, shine, growth and controls dandruff

The primary benefit of sweet almond oil is as a sealant and hair protector
It makes hair bright, shiny and silky looking.

Bowl

HONEY

Natural humectant properties: helps attract and retain moisture
Because Honey is a humectant, it holds on to water molecules and this is how it retains the water.

Anti-irritant properties: great for sensitive scalp and skin and hair loss.

Smoothes the cuticle: The hair feels softer and looks shinier when you add honey to your recipes.

SIDE NOTE: Honey thins out mixtures after a while. To minimise or prevent drippies please use a little bit or eyeball the quantity you need for the length of your hair. Remember a little goes a long way.

Blender

PAWPAW

Pawpaw helps in creating volume by nourishing the hair shaft. Other benefits are;
1. Pawpaw may help prevent balding, thus help boost growth and strength of the hair.
2. It’s used for controlling dandruff.
3. Removes the dirt, oil and chemical build up from the hair in a very safe way.
4. Pawpaw leaf extracts can be used as a conditioner for adding shine to dull, unruly and lifeless hair.
5. Using pawpaw hair mask can result in thick, strong, shiny and healthy hair.

SIDE NOTE: I used just a little portion of the pawpaw. I didnt want a watery mixture.

My plate of edible goodness

Very thick and creamy consistency
Pawpaw and banana hair mask will help you add thickness, strength and shine to your hair.

You cant go wrong with all natural products without preservatives and additives.

Apply to slightly damp hair
Cover with a plastic cap or shower cap
It is optional to add your favorite deep conditioner to this recipe to get super soft hairs.

In all i will definitely be revisiting this recipe again. For a protein treatment all i have to do is add an EGG to the mixture.
I can tweak this mixture by substituting either the banana or pawpaw for avocado.
Let your imagnation run wild and have some fun. Seriously cutting down cost
